Four Inter ultras have been banned for one to five years after pushing everyday fans to leave the Curva Nord during Saturday’s match against Sampdoria, while drums and banners will be prohibited in the Nerazzurri’s last home game of the year against Bologna.

Actions were taken after Inter ultras forced ordinary supporters to leave the Curva Nord at half time on Saturday, during their home match against Sampdoria, after learning that one of their historical leaders, Vittorio Boiocchi, had been shot dead in an ambush.

Witnesses saw some of them threaten everyday fans, forcing them to leave their seats as a sign of respect for Boiocchi, who had a very long rap sheet of previous criminal activities, spending 26 years of his life in prison for among other things drug trafficking, theft and kidnap.

According to Gazzetta, the Milan Court has identified and banned from stadiums four Inter ultras. One, a 52-year-old from the Province of Varese had already been banned and will not be allowed in stadiums for the next five years. The others received one and two-year bans.

There are other consequences as drums and banners won’t be allowed for Inter’s next Serie A game against Bologna on Wednesday, November 9, their last home fixture in 2022. Closing down the entire Curva would have affected ordinary fans who had been forced to leave against Sampdoria, so the Milan Court opted for a punishment which would only concern ultras.
