A supporter attending InterSampdoria in Curva Nord on Saturday describes scenes of violence and ‘kids crying’ as ultras forced ordinary fans to leave after the murder of their historic leader Vittorio Boiocchi.

Baiocchi was shot repeatedly in an ambush outside his house on the outskirts of Milan, and the news spread while the Nerazzurri were playing against Sampdoria at San Siro.

Many of the organised ultras groups in the Curva Nord pulled in their banners and walked out of San Siro at half-time. They also forced ordinary fans to do the same, threatening them.

“At the end of the first half, we were told that we had to leave the Curva. A young guy put his hands on a man with a daughter who was six or seven years old and started crying,” one of the witnesses in Curva Nord told La Repubblica.

“So other people arrived and many were shouting: ‘There is a kid!’

“Another man who was protesting about the way he was obliged to leave was threatened. One of these young guys told him: ‘You don’t know who I am, I am going to cut your throat.’

“Those insulting and threatening were 25 years old, and some of them were not even in their 20s. One of them shouted: ‘Get out of here or we’ll kick you out, we are ruling this place.’

“I feared people would be crushed while trying to leave. I tried to console a girl who was crying. It was dangerous to evacuate thousands of people, we left because there was no alternative.”

Baiocchi had strong connections with organised crime and spent over 26 years of his life in prison for among other things drug trafficking, theft and kidnap.

He had been banned from the stadium and was forced to remain 2km away from the Stadio Meazza during Inter matches.

Italy’s new Minister for Sport Andrea Abodi has promised to ‘look into’ the incident.

  1. Oh the Minister for Sport is going to “Look into it”, that’s settled it then ! They need Real action against these thugs who tarnish Italian Football.

  2. Unbelievable. The Minister said he’d “look into it”? SOunds like code for , “there’s not much I can do”. If this doesn’t get resolved it means the Ultras (and their ‘backers’) are too deeply entrenched in the system.

  3. Another black eye for Italian football from “ultras”. Ultras are nothing more than thugs hiding behind football for their violence and ignorance. Go follow your “historic leader” as soon as possible, Ultras. You’re all cowards

  4. The 99% of Inter fans are against this act from the Ultras!
This has nothing to do with Inter so stop making this about us fans. Most Italian clubs have these thug ultras and they should behave or get banned because we don’t need them!

  5. They don’t represent Inter fans. Why not ban the fans who made those threats. If Inter and serie a management leaves this it will mean they accept these kind of behaviours. Again ban them in the next few matches to send a clear message

  6. Bit and Mohammed.

You guys are both dumb blind and stupid to only think that this problem only exists with inter. What about the rest of ultras. They are all the same.

  7. Mohammed and bit

I see your point. The other club ultras are such nice guys that they sell cookies and milk at the stadium.

I can’t believe the level of stu****y by the 2 of you.
You guys should really save your comments for people with a real arguments.

  8. amazing how you delete my comment, but yet my was a reply to him starting to swear – well done, fi
