Alessandro Florenzi hopes to have his future sorted when ‘I return to Roma’ after his Valencia loan and ‘owes’ Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi.
Florenzi joined Valencia on loan for the rest of the season in January but played just five times for the Spanish side, who in turn are unlikely to pursue a permanent deal for the right-back.
“[Fonseca] is and has been an important person for me,” he said during a Facebook broadcast.

“[Fonseca] is and has been an important person for me,” he said during a Facebook broadcast.
“He’s been a real coach, who says what he thinks. We tried to follow a path and he told me how he felt about me.
“We’ll do it again, he’ll be clear like how he was in January. He’s a top man and a top person.
“The next two years will be crucial. I’m reaching an age when, psychologically, mentally and physically, I’ll be in peak condition.
“After that will be the Euros and World Cup, so I’ll have to be ready. My objective is to play as much as possible. Once my loan is over, I’ll return to Roma.”
The 29-year-old then paid tribute to Totti and De Rossi for ‘teaching me what it meant’ to represent the Giallorossi.
“It didn’t take much for them to make others understand how much that shirt mattered or how much a game mattered.
“A look in the eye was enough. It was as if they’d possessed us. Defending the shirt of your city is a source of great pride, but it’s also a great responsibility: you always have eyes on you. It’s a nice responsibility to have.
“A Roman player for Roma fans is something unique, as unique as the relationship I have with Totti and De Rossi.
“We talk often. I heard from them 2-3 days ago. I have an exceptional relationship with Francesco and a fantastic one with Daniele.
“They’ve been the way forward for me. For how I developed as a player and as a man, I owe it to Totti and De Rossi.
“They taught me what it meant to be Roma. I can only thank them.”
