Mathieu Flamini knows it will be tough for his Milan side to overcome former club Arsenal in the Champions League.
The two teams meet in the first leg of their last 16 clash at San Siro on Wednesday as the competition resumes following its winter break.
“Arsenal are an opponent to be respected,” the midfielder, who left Arsenal for Milan in 2008, told Sky Sport Italia.

“It won’t be an easy game for us. They play some beautiful football and have been doing so for many years now.”
Flamini, 27, has yet to play so far during this campaign after damaging knee ligaments in pre-season training.
“I’m feeling good, even if I am not at 100 per cent,” the French international continued.
“Milan, up until now, have done some great things, but now we need to give the very best of ourselves.
“This is a crucial stage of the season for us and we are required to sprint.”
The Italian champions returned to the top of the table at the weekend to lead Juventus” data-scaytid=”9″>Juventus by two points. The Old Lady, however, have two games in hand.
