Fiorentina are reportedly planning to send striker Patrick Cutrone back to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Cutrone only joined Fiorentina in January on an 18-month loan with an option to buy for a reported €16m.

However, after just nine appearances and one goal, The Daily Mail writes the Viola want to return the 22-year-old, preferring a ‘more experienced’ forward to complement Dusan Vlahovic.

His stay at the Artemio Franchi has also been affected by a bout of coronavirus, which he is now over.

The 22-year-old moved to Wolves from Milan last summer in a deal worth up to €23m but struggled to win over boss Nuno Espirito Santo, scoring three times in 24 games.
