The mayor of Florence wants the AIA to intervene as the refereeing in Inter–Fiorentina “was not impartial and correct”.
The Viola had a controversial penalty given against them in Tuesday’s defeat, and now the city’s mayor wants the referees’ association to get involved.
“I was in Milan on Tuesday,” Dario Nardella told Corriere dello Sport.
“I saw a beautiful Fiorentina that was unfortunately penalised by some refereeing which, in my opinion, was not impartial or correct.

“Faced with directions of this kind that heavily affect the outcome of the match it will take decisive action by the Associazione Italiana Arbitri [AIC].
“I hope the San Siro case is taken into consideration.”
