According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina are preparing their opening offer for Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet.

The Belgium international has returned to the King Power Stadium after a one-year loan at Torino.

The Granata remain interested in the former Sampdoria man but tried to negotiate a lower fee for his permanent transfer without reaching an agreement with the Foxes.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina have joined the race to sign the Belgian midfielder and will submit their opening offer today.

The Tuscans want to sign Praet permanently and will offer €7m to sign him. However, the Premier League side value the 28-year-old at circa €14m, so the two clubs will need to negotiate to reach an agreement.

Fiorentina may match Leicester City’s asking price, but only on an initial loan deal with an option or obligation to buy.

The Tuscans are ready to welcome Pierluigi Gollini and Rolando Mandragora who are expected to undergo their medical this week.

Like Praet, Mandragora also spent the last season on loan at Torino, but the Granata didn’t use their option to purchase, trying to negotiate a lower fee with Juventus.
