Fiorentina will face FC Twente in the Europa Conference League play-offs on August 18 and 25, after the Dutch side beat Cukaricki 7-2 on aggregate.
The Viola qualified for this stage of the tournament after finishing seventh in Serie A last season.
They had to wait until this evening to know the names of their opponents and FC Twente disposed of Serbian side Cukaricki 7-2 on aggregate.
They had won the first leg 3-1 and fell behind at home early tonight, but turned it around for another 4-1 victory on home turf.
Christos Tzolis bagged a brace, while Robin Propper and Michel Vlap were also on target in tonightโs rout.
The first leg of the play-offs will be on August 18 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, while the decider is in the Netherlands on August 25.
FC Twente finished fourth in the Eredivisie for the 2021-22 campaign, only three points off Feyenoord in third.
Roma won the Europa Conference League in the tournamentโs maiden campaign.
Must admit, it won’t be easy. So early, tough test for La Viola.

FIORENTINA should be able to get a big win at home and coast through. Very early on its always a worry but Fiorentina avoided much bigger teams by being seeded no excuses here. I can see Fiorentina going far in this competition hopefully Italian teams can begin domination of this tournament then Europa League and eventually CL like in the 90s.
Fiorentina would have gone far in the competition but won’t even qualify, because Italian teams are known to not be ready and they will find it hard to win. They are the better side on paper but the Dutch are a gelled team. Bad luck is on the Italian sides not good.
