Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic assures he is in ‘top shape, better than before’ as he continues the recovery process from knee surgery.

The striker will turn 41 on October 3 and just signed a new contract with the Rossoneri until June 2023.

He went under the knife to resolve a knee ligament issue at the end of May and has been blazing through the post-operative routine.

Spotted walking in the streets of Milan by Sportitalia correspondent Tancredi Palmeri this evening, Ibrahimovic said this when asked how he was doing.

“In top shape. Better than ever!”

The Sweden international had already stunned readers on social media yesterday by posting an image of his legs after a particularly gruelling workout.

Although he did not play as much as in previous seasons, he was still instrumental in Milan winning their first Serie A title in 11 years.

Ibra contributed eight goals and three assists in 23 Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri last term.

  1. Wasn’t that many months ago where he was posting videos of his knees being drained during the season. He man seems to be in great shape. It will be another exciting year watching Milan go for title #20.
