Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler could undergo his Nottingham Forest medical tonight after flying out from Bergamo to complete the €9m plus add-ons transfer.

The 30-year-old Switzerland international was spotted with his family at the airport in Bergamo this afternoon.

According to TuttoAtalanta and the Nottingham Post, he will be rushed straight through medical tests this evening to complete the move as soon as possible.

Sky Sport Italia note the fee is €9m plus add-ons, a figure that Atalanta accepted to sell Freuler after seven and a half years.

It is believed Freuler will sign a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, who are newly promoted to the Premier League.

He leaves La Dea after 259 competitive matches for the club, in which he scored 20 goals and contributed 23 assists.

It has been reported that Nottingham Forest also asked Atalanta for their Ukraine international Ruslan Malinovskyi, but that would be a more unlikely transfer to push through.
