Fiorentina are reportedly close to signing Lucas Torreira from Arsenal on an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

According to Calciomercato.com, the 25-year-old is willing to return to Serie A, so he has put talks with Eintracht Frankfurt on hold.

Fiorentina are pushing to secure the services of the former Atletico Madrid loanee and could eventually sign the Uruguay international on a paid loan deal with an option to buy.

Sky Sport confirm that both Fiorentina and Eintracht are interested in the former Sampdoria man who is open to returning to Serie A.

Fiorentina have also been linked with Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic while Sofyan Amrabat could leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi with Napoli in talks to sign him on a temporary deal.

Fiorentina lost their Serie A opener against Roma on Sunday and Vincenzo Italiano expects midfield reinforcements, while their star striker Dusan Vlahovic is likely to stay in Tuscany for one more season.

  1. I think it would be a good signing for Fio. Not sure why Milan isn’t looking at this player given their need at CM.
