Joe Barone says Fiorentina ‘are angry at Milan‘ as the Rossoneri allowed their fans to buy tickets in the away sector for their upcoming Serie A meeting.
La Viola will visit Milan at the Stadio Meazza on Sunday, but not many Tuscans’ supporters will take their place in the away sector.
This is because Milan mistakenly allowed their fans to buy tickets for the sector reserved for travelling supporters, so only a few Florentines could buy entrances for the game.
“I spoke to [Milan president ] Paolo Scaroni on Wednesday and I told him what I think,” said Barone, as quoted by SportMediaset.
“We were not respected, both the fans and the club. Milan are aware that we are very angry about this situation, let’s see what happens on Sunday and if there will be more tickets available.”
Fiorentina are in the race for a European spot, but suffered back to back defeats against Salernitana and Udinese. They are just two points behind fifth-placed Roma and one above Atalanta, who are currently the first team out from European placements.

As a Milan fan I don’t like this at all.
I know the demand for tickets at the San Siro is extremely high atm and we’re coming down to the end of the season but we have to maintain that balance of ensuring fairness and sportsmanship towards the end.
How would Milan away fans feel if that was done to them in these final run of games? Be it a technical/manual/deliberate error or not, we owe Fiorentina a proper apology and maybe some free tickets to the away sector next season.
Bro who cares….. its a home match so the fans took advantage of the situation. The visitors should have bought the tickets when they were available not wait for it until the last min. Its been an intense season and every Milan fan wants to be in every stadium for support. Maybe some of you don’t remember how Milan fans used to flood the stadiums (away and home). This reminds me of the old days. If they make more available tickets for the away fans great I’m not against it but don’t cry over it….The last few games are huge for Milan and I also understand Florentina wants to qualify for European football. The phrase goes “Grab them while their hot”
Fiorentina should be grateful that fewer of their fans will see them being pulverised by Milan.
