Interviewed in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ficcadenti said: "I believe that we need to average a point per game.

"We must keep an eye on bottom club Bari. They are not dead and will make some great signings in January.

"I have two priorities: a striker and a central defender.

"We will fight until the last second of the last game. The first half of the season has been good. The objective was to stay in touch with the group.

"We have done that and want to defend the precious good that is our place in Serie A.

"We have paid a little for our inexperience in a League which is high in quality."
