“Milan spent €200m on the transfer market, but they didn’t have a shot on target against us,” Ferrero said on Radio Radio.

“I’d predicted that we’d win 2-1, but they never even had a shot on our goal, if they had I’d have guessed the result.

“Milan are a great team, but an individualistic one.”

Ferrero also gave his prediction for the Scudetto race, with both Juventus and Napoli maintaining 100 per cent records after six games.

“In my opinion the Scudetto will go to Napoli, if they don’t win it this year they’ll never win it. They have to seize this chance.

Roma? A great team, but they need to roll up their sleeves.”
