Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero says Serie A has been ‘exciting’ this term and hopes the public can be a part of it in 2021.

The Blucerchiati are 10th in Serie A after 13 games and host Sassuolo on Wednesday, after back-to-back wins against Hellas Verona and Crotone.

The patron said the 2020-21 season is very competitive and claimed it’s more ‘exciting’ than before.

“We are all happy when we win, and unhappy when we lose,” Ferrero told TMW Radio. “It’s really difficult, it’s a war.

The patron said the 2020-21 season is very competitive and claimed it’s more ‘exciting’ than before.

“We are all happy when we win, and unhappy when we lose,” Ferrero told TMW Radio. “It’s really difficult, it’s a war.

“It’s a more exciting League, there’s not the usual Juventus like before. Milan have a good team, Inter must win something.

“Below, there’s a nice Benevento, Crotone are very organised.”

Ferrero said he doesn’t believe it will happen but said his wish for 2021 is to have spectators back ‘as soon as possible’.

“It’s a championship without spectators, it’s anguish to live it like this,” Ferrero added. “I don’t see people returning to the stadiums.

“The players are super controlled but it’s har to go on like this. I take it out on the journalists who first praised and now Juve too.”

“I wish for football and joy. I ask the government to get the public back as soon as possible.”
