Milan Skriniar’s agent says “€40m or €50m” wouldn’t be enough to sign his client as “Inter aren’t currently in a position where they’d have to sell players”.

The Slovakian international joined the Nerazzurri from Sampdoria in the summer, and has already been linked with the likes of Barcelona.

“He signed a five-year contract with Inter in the summer, so no-one within the club is thinking about selling him,” Karol Csonto told SME Sport.

“He signed a five-year contract with Inter in the summer, so no-one within the club is thinking about selling him,” Karol Csonto told SME Sport.

“It may happen that someone offers so much money that Inter have to consider it, but I don’t want to speculate if it would be €50m or €70m.

“He’s doing really well in Milan, he’s playing well so obviously his price is increasing. It’s premature to talk about a move to Barcelona or Manchester City though.

“If a player puts in excellent performances at a club like Inter, it’s obvious he’d come into the viewfinder of some of the world’s best clubs.

“The other side of the coin though is his price, how much Inter would demand from suitors and if they’d be willing to pay that to take him from Milan.

“If Inter paid €25m for Skriniar, I don’t expect them to sell him for €40m or €50m. Inter aren’t currently in a position where they’d have to sell players.”
