The Nerazzurri’s transfer campaign has finally got off the ground with a flurry of activity at the club HQ in Milan.

President Steven Zhang and director Beppe Marotta engaged in a series of conference calls with Manchester United chiefs and Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello, to get the Belgian signed by tomorrow’s Premier League transfer deadline for €70m plus bonuses.

On top of that, Dzeko’s agent Silvano Martina was spotted several times at the Inter headquarters this afternoon, moving back and forth between clubs and meetings.

Dzeko has reportedly made it clear to Roma he is tired of waiting and wants a move to San Siro, especially as he has only one season left on his contract.

The asking price has never dropped below €20m and negotiations have now reached an intensive stage.
