Paulo Dybala is open to joining Tottenham Hotspur, claim Italian sources, but it’s unlikely Spurs and Juventus will sort out the details in time.

According to Sportitalia, Il Messaggero and more, Dybala turned down Manchester United, but would be ready to sign for last season’s Champions League Finalists for €70m.

The main problem remains his wage demands, the €15m commission for his agent and above all the issue of image rights.

The main problem remains his wage demands, the €15m commission for his agent and above all the issue of image rights.

Dybala is currently being sued by his former agency for breach of contract and could be on the hook for €40m if he sells his image rights on without their permission.

Italian sources maintain negotiations are on-going and the image rights are also being discussed, but it’s a race to finish everything by the Premier League transfer deadline, which is tomorrow at 17.00 UK time.

As things stand and realising the complex state of Dybala’s affairs, not to mention the fact Spurs tend to be quite parsimonious when it comes to wages, it still looks unlikely this transfer will go through.

According to Sky Sports UK, Tottenham received another blow with news Philippe Coutinho turned down a loan move from Barcelona.

They are still pursuing another target, Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis.
