The 32-year-old goalkeeper arrived in Milan on Monday night and has this morning been confirmed by the Rossoneri as undergoing medical tests, alongside Pablo Armero, to formalise an initial loan move from Real Madrid for the season.

“This is a big step in my career, I arrive to give my best to this team. Carlo [Ancelotti] knows me well, I am happy for his words [of support],” Lopez told Milan Channel after touching down last night.
“Galliani said I am the strongest goalkeeper in Europe? I arrive with the idea to work, I am delighted to be here. I’m at the best club in Italy and the world, for me this is an important step.
“I want to fight for a place in the team in Italy, nothing is secure. With work and strength I hope to play the most number of matches possible – I’ve not spoken with Pippo Inzaghi.
“Ancelotti? He and [goalkeeping Coach] William Vecchi have spoken highly of this club, I have to thank them if I am here.
“Madrid? I’m not angry, I’m happy to be here for a new experience.
“Objectives? Winning the Scudetto and getting back into Europe. Thank you to the club for this opportunity, I am very happy.
“This is a big club where everyone wants to play. I want to work every day to give my best.”
