Marko Marin is expected to formalise his temporary move from Chelsea to Fiorentina during the course of today.

The Bosnia-born Germany-capped attacking midfielder arrived in Florence yesterday to complete formalities on an initial season long loan deal to the Artemio Franchi.

Whilst undergoing medical tests in the morning, the 25-year-old was unable to sign off on his contract to make the move official.

With Eduardo Macia in Spain with the squad for pre-season and Daniele Prade and CEO Sandro Mencucci in Rome for the FIGC elections, it meant that there was no director present at club headquarters to formalise the contract.

It is expected, though, that someone will be able to sign off on the deal during Tuesday, which reportedly also holds a purchase option in place set around €5m.
