The Azzurri secured a second consecutive 3-0 win in Group A of Euro 2020 and are already qualified for the last 16 of the competition.

Petkovic: ‘Italy ran six kilometres more than us’

Manuel Locatelli bagged the first brace for Italy since Mario Balotelli in 2012 and Ciro Immobile scored his second of the competition in the 89th minute.

And former Italy and Juventus star Del Piero praised Roberto Mancini’s defence too.

“The lads were good at correcting the lack of clarity that lacked in the first half in order to make it 2-0,” Del Piero said.

“The team was able to fight, to defend well. It was a perfect performance.”
