Japhet Tanganga has reportedly agreed to move to Milan and is now waiting for the club to find an agreement with Tottenham.

The Rossoneri are working on strengthening their defence this summer and they’ve been in talks for the English centre back for a few weeks now, keen to replicate the successful Fikayo Tomori deal. Tanganga’s season was derailed last campaign due to a serious knee injury and now his position under Antonio Conte has become more uncertain.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tanganga has agreed to join Milan and he’s excited about the move, looking at the example set by Tomori and the growth he’s experienced under Stefano Pioli. An agreement still needs to be reached with Tottenham, however, and a deadline has been set for this Sunday.

Spurs are pushing for a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached, whilst the Rossoneri would prefer it to be a buy option instead. The deal also depends on what happens with Charles De Ketelaere – should the Belgian be signed, Milan would immediately look to close for Tanganga. If not, they may consider other targets instead.

  1. Rather cheap than bankrupt… Juve spending a fortune on has-been superstars to help them qualify for champions league, Milan building to be back in 3 finals in a decade, like Ancelottis spell, with young talent under the guidance of champions, like Maldini and Zlatan.
