Roberto De Zerbi is ‘crazy’ about Sassuolo talent Davide Frattesi and is pushing to bring the Italian midfielder to Brighton, Daniele Longo reports.

The 23-year-old has been impressed in Reggio-Emilia for a little while now, emerging as an exciting prospect under De Zerbi during their time together at the Neroverdi, and seems destined to finally make the jump to a bigger club in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Sassuolo are ready to cash in on Frattesi and chairman Giovanni Carnevali has not shied away from this when talking to the media, confirming that the best offer so far is “from a Premier League club”.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, De Zerbi is a huge fan of Frattesi and is pushing to bring him to Brighton in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Seagulls have opened talks with Sassuolo through an intermediary and are planning to give their coach what he wants, with the €40m price tag not scaring them off.

Juventus and Inter are both also keen to snap up Frattesi in the summer but neither club are in a position where they could beat out Brighton, with the former still working on resolving their legal issues and transfer market plans and the latter only able to make a loan offer with a permanence clause attached.
