Paulo Dybala has started a special treatment cycle with Roma in a bid to be fit for their Europa League final against Sevilla.

The 29-year-old Argentinian forward has been the bright spark of Jose Mourinho’s squad in the Italian capital this season, scoring 16 goals and providing eight assists in 36 games across all competitions.

Dybala has been struggling with an ankle injury for around a month now, missing the last two Serie A outings against Bologna and Salernitana as well as the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals against Bayer Leverkusen.

As detailed by Corriere dello Sport, the Roma medical staff have started new treatment on Dybala’s ankle over the last few days, hoping that it’ll help him reach enough fitness to take part in the Europa League final on May 31.

The Argentine forward is also carrying out daily physiotherapy work and is close to the club’s osteopath. He did not take advantage of the two days rest granted by Mourinho to the squad and yesterday underwent extra treatment at the Fulvio Bernardini sports center.
