Mattia De Sciglio will extend his stay in Turin after reaching an agreement to renew his contract with Juventus.

The 29-year-old Italian right back has been a regular feature under Massimiliano Allegri this season, being a tactically flexible option who can play on both the left and right sides of the defence. The Old Lady are working on their players who have expiring contracts and have already agreed a new deal with Mattia Perin.

As detailed by Goal.com, De Sciglio has agreed to a three-year contract extension with Juventus, extending his ties to the club until 2025.The details are now being fully finalised and things will be completed soon.

The Italian full back spent last season on loan with Lyon, where he performed decently, and his return to Turin was made more positive by the return of Allegri.

The 29-year-old De Sciglio has made 27 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1711 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal and provided three assists.

  1. From milan with allegri then juve and now he extended for this so called long allegri project.

I find it suspicious, since every coach after allegri send him out.

I think he is the one who inform allegri about what
Is going on behind his back, like a little snitch.

  2. That is called the Phd Max effect. 3 years and many more to follow that of mediocrity. Next season 4th spot tripleta.

  3. Allegri effect .. only loser players can stay thus can control them … no need for stars and skills cause hard to oblige them for tactics ..

  4. This is totally fine as long as we sign new backs. He’s a good backup because of his flexibility, nothing more.

  5. only losers and small players can renew at juve! cancelo to city danilo and de sciglio to juve……………..
