Daniele De Rossi has been ruled out of Italy’s last two World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and Armenia.

The Roma midfielder left the national side’s Coverciano training base earlier today after being seen by doctors.

The player is struggling with an Achilles tendon issue and won’t be risked seeing as the Azzurri have already qualified for Brazil 2014.

Meanwhile, Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon will meet with the squad later this evening. The three Paris Saint-Germain players – Salvatore Sirigu, Thiago Motta and Marco Verratti – will arrive on Tuesday.
