Today is Roma legend Daniele De Rossi’s birthday, so he asked his old club for a special gift. ‘Can you send me 20 or so Paulo Dybala jerseys?’
The midfielder turns 39 today and spent practically his entire career with his beloved hometown club, until a brief spell at Boca Juniors in 2019.
When Roma’s social media accounts wished him a happy birthday, De Rossi replied on Instagram.
“Thank you so much, I really miss you guys, please can you send me 20 or so Dybala jerseys, seeing as although I’ve stopped playing people still keep asking me for shirts. Thanks.”
New signing Dybala has certainly made an impact with his jerseys flying out of the club shop.
There were even some reports that they sold quicker than Cristiano Ronaldo’s shirt when he first joined Juventus, but the figures to back up those claims are not available.
