There are conflicting reports suggesting Milan will not improve their Charles De Ketelaere offer, so are turning to Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech or Sassuolo captain Domenico Berardi instead.

Sport Mediaset claimed today that the Rossoneri were preparing to increase the proposal to €33m including add-ons plus a 10 per cent cut of any future transfer fee.

However, Milan’s Calciomercato.com transfer expert Daniele Longo insists those rumours are not backed up by the club.

Their latest and final offer remains €30m plus €2m in bonuses, which they will not increase because they firmly believe that is an accurate valuation of the 21-year-old.

Club Brugge expect more, seeing as Leeds United were prepared to pay €37m, but the player turned down the move.

It all means that Milan are waiting for a response, while also looking at alternatives, the first of which is Ziyech of Chelsea.

He is available on loan with an option to buy, which would leave the Serie A side with funds left over to invest on a defender.

Another candidate would be Sassuolo captain Berardi, although he would cost €40m and is unlikely to leave in the same transfer window as Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham United.

  1. CDK has not turned down the Leeds move; you’re about to find out.

HE preferred penniless Milan, but never has ruled out a Leeds move.
