Former Juventus left-back Paolo De Ceglie says he is “fired up and ready to start this new adventure” at Benevento.
De Ceglio is set to join Benevento on a free transfer, having been without a club since leaving Juve over the summer, and the 31-year-old believes he is “a few weeks” away from match fitness.
“I’m fired up and ready to start this new adventure,” he told local TV station Otto Channel.
“I’ll need a few more weeks of training, but physically I feel good.”

De Ceglie was considered a bright prospect at Juve and has also played for the likes of Genoa, Parma and Olympique Marseille.
Benevento picked up their first-ever point in Serie A last weekend, drawing 2-2 with Milan, although they remain bottom and adrift by 10 points.
