Matteo Darmian’s agent said they are “progressing very well” in talks with Juventus for the Manchester United full-back.

Representative Tullio Tinti met with Bianconeri sporting director Fabio Paratici at Palazzo Parigi in Milan today, their second meeting in the space of a week.

Tinti was filmed leaving the encounter this afternoon and asked how things were going for Darmian.

“Progressing very well,” was his reply.

Tinti was filmed leaving the encounter this afternoon and asked how things were going for Darmian.

“Progressing very well,” was his reply.

He then commented to Sportitalia reporters after the cameras had been switched off: “We’re at an advanced stage with Juventus.”

Inter had also been interested in the Italy international, who can play in a variety of defensive roles.

It has been suggested that Darmian will replace Alex Sandro, who is heading towards Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United's asking price is €20m and so far Juve were only prepared to offer €13m, but the situation seems to have changed.
