Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United from Juventus in the summer, but admits his second spell at Old Trafford is not going as he expected.

The Portuguese ace scored 101 goals in 134 appearances over three seasons in Turin before returning to Manchester United in August, completing a €15m move.

Juventus are currently out of the top four and lost the Supercoppa Italiana Final against Inter last night, but things aren’t going any better for the Red Devils who sit seventh in the Premier League table.

“I don’t accept that our mentality be less than being in the top three in the Premier League,” the Portuguese star said in an interview with Sky Sports UK.

Cristiano Ronaldo took wrong career decisions with Juventus and Man United, Barcelona next?

“We are capable of changing things now. I know the way but I’m not going to mention it here because I don’t think it’s ethical on my part to say that.

“What I can say is we can do better – all of us. Manchester (United) belongs to important things, so we have to change that.

“I don’t want to be here to be in sixth place, or seventh place, or fifth place. I’m here to try to win, to compete.”

Ronaldo won two Serie A titles in Turin but Juventus failed to retain the Scudetto for the tenth year in a row last term when the Bianconeri won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana with Andrea Pirlo in charge.

This means that the 36-year-old, the best scorer in the history of the Champions League, risks not playing Europe’s elite competition next season.

Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in 22 appearances with Manchester United this season, including three in two games against Atalanta in the Champions League.

9 thought on “Cristiano Ronaldo disappointed with Man United results after return from Juventus”
  1. Ronaldo apparently got lip injections since moving to Manchester. So glad this plastic garbage left us in the summer.

  2. Why would anyone here on Football Italia care what Ronaldo says or thinks. He’s no longer apart of Seria A.
As a Juve supporter I support the current team not former players.
It’s a waste of space putting up articles of him and his current club.
Football Italia need to sort out their priorities.

  3. And yet again, another pointless article.

@ Football Italia writers of articles
For us Serie A fans, unless Ronaldo is returning to Serie A, then report it on your website.

If not, then why post it? This yet again for the upteenth time has no bearing on Serie A!

  4. i agree with what people are saying here. I’m a Juventus fan and Cristiano left Serie A. What he does at Manchester concerns no one here. Most Juventus fans have also moved on from Ronaldo so I don’t understand why Football Italia reports on him.

  5. Just go to PSG already, so we can get to see Neymar-Ronaldo-Messi play together once… And then he can piss off back to Sporting Lisbon.
