Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele was offered to many Serie A clubs including Napoli, but the Partenopei are reportedly not interested in signing him in January, also due to his hefty salary.

The 25-year-old is expected to leave North London in the winter transfer window, but he is unlikely to move to Italy even if he’s been offered to many Serie A clubs.

Conte pushes Ndombele away from Tottenham, but Serie A move unlikely

Football Italia reported earlier this week that Ndombele’s €10m-a-year salary is not affordable for any club in the Belpaese and Alfredo Pedullà confirms this is one of the reasons why Napoli are not interested in signing the out-of-favour Tottenham midfielder.

Ndombele was offered to Luciano Spalletti’s side, but the Partenopei are ‘definitely out of the race’ to sign him.

The other reason why Napoli don’t want to go for the former Lyon man is that they are still evaluating a few different targets on the market.

Axel Tuanzebe has moved to the Stadio Maradona on loan from Manchester United to replace Kostas Manolas and Napoli may not need a central midfielder in January. If they’ll sign a new player in the middle of the park in January, it won’t be Ndombele.
