Juventus Coach Max Allegri confirms Cristiano Ronaldo will play ‘where he has always played.’

The Portuguese forward joined the Old Lady from Real Madrid in the most high-profile transfer of the summer window and will report for pre-season training in 30 July.

And when questioned on where the €100m signing will play, the Bianconeri Coach was in no doubt as to where Ronaldo will fit in.

“Ronaldo will play where he has always played, in the offensive third,” Allegri commented after seeing his side beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in last night’s International Champions Cup.

“And he will score goals as he always has.”

The shining star of last night’s match was young forward Andrea Favilli, who scored twice.

However, Allegri expects the 21-year-old to go on loan this season.

“Favilli is a young player who has great potential. But I think he is heading for another Serie A team, which is Genoa.”

The Juve boss does not know if his club will be making any further summer signings, despite links to the likes of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

“I don’t know. Here there is a six-hour time difference so when we are asleep in Italy they are awake, and visa versa.

“The club is having a great window. The arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo, Cancelo and Emre Can have improved the team.

“Let’s see what happens.”
