Angelo Palombo is ready to stay at Sampdoria if the club can convince him of their future plans, it is claimed.

The Italian international is the club's most wanted player on the transfer market following their relegation to Serie B.

Napoli, Juventus, Inter, Roma and Fiorentina have been paired with the Doria captain who would fetch over €10m on the transfer market.

However, the 29-year-old could decide to stay in an effort to help Doria back into the Italian top flight.

It is understood that Palombo will hold talks with Sampdoria officials in the next few days to discuss their options.

It is even claimed that the midfielder is willing to renegotiate his contract to lower his salary if he is convinced that the outfit can fight for immediate promotion.

Palombo is tied to the Genoa club until June 2015.
