Antonio Conte has moved into pole position to succeed Gigi Del Neri as the Coach of Juventus.
Del Neri is expected to be shown the door once the campaign comes to an end and it looks like the former Juve midfielder will be his replacement.
According to reports, Conte held talks with the Old Lady on Sunday night when he met with director general Beppe Marotta and his assistant Fabio Paratici in Milan.
Conte, who was also the club captain as a player, has apparently agreed, in principal, a two-year deal worth €1.5m a season.

The details of the meeting and financial package come just a day after Siena, who Conte has just helped get promoted to Serie A, seemed to make the tactician available to the Turin giants.
Juventus have been assessing their coaching options for the past three months and have been linked with numerous men.
Zenit boss Luciano Spalletti and Manchester City's Roberto Mancini proved to be unobtainable.
Juventus were also linked with Napoli Coach Walter Mazzarri, but they don't want to strain their relationship with the Azzurri seeing as he is under contract.
Porto boss Andre Villas Boas is also known to have been wanted by Juve, yet the Portuguese's €15m release clause is a major stumbling block.
Nevertheless, some whispers suggest Juve could make one last attempt to net Villas Boas, even if they are unlikely to succeed.
Although there has been no official word from Juventus, recent statements from Turin indicate that changes are on the horizon.
Juventus official Pavel Nedved, just yesterday, praised Conte. "He's a true Coach," said the Czech. "He was already one on the pitch when he played. He'll have a great coaching career."
Meanwhile, Juventus President Andrea Agnelli last night expressed his dissatisfaction at Juve's efforts during the past campaign.
"I'm not happy, in fact, I'm extremely unsatisfied, but we'll wait until the end of the championship," he said. "We still have a game to play, when that's over we'll speak about next season.
"There's a lot of disappointment because at the end of this season it has become apparent that some new arrivals haven't understood what Juve is about and others who knew have forgotten."
