Pressure mounts on Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri ahead of their Champions League match against Maccabi, but Tuttosport confirms the club won’t sack the coach even if he fails to win in Israel.

The Serie A giants have only won one game out of thee in the Champions League Group H and need another victory today to keep their qualification hopes alive. It’s a more difficult task than it seems as Juventus have never won away this term.

Multiple reports in Italy claim Allegri’s job is not at risk and even if Juventus fail to beat Maccabi tonight, it is unlikely that directors will change their mind.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported on Monday that Juventus want to see a reaction from players and although Max Allegri has the task of solving the team’s issues, President Andrea Agnelli still has faith in him.

This doesn’t mean that the Old Lady won’t take action if Juventus’ run of poor results continues.

Club directors will make their assessments during the World Cup break and at the end of the season.

Allegri signed a four-year deal at the Allianz Stadium in 2021, so he has barely three years left in his contract with the Bianconeri.

Last season, he completed Juventus’ first trophyless campaign in 11 years, but still kept his job after that his predecessors Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo had been sacked despite adding more pieces of silverware to the club’s trophy cabinet.

  1. They have so much faith in this donkey when Pirlo barely had a summer transfer season to fine tune his team and style.

I liked the way they played under Pirlo.

  2. PhD Max is going nowhere. He is working miracles with the team and he is not known as the Rolls Royce Phantom as he has the receipts to back it up. His teams always ghosts in all occasions and even the Allianz is looking more empty per week.

  3. Shaolin 1 Mbps VHS Calcio Max’s record is second to none. The amount of talent he has developed over the years is incredible. The alumni includes Roberto King Carlos Sandro who never disappoints with the back back. Then you have the current crop. The legend of bricklayers, the extraordinaire Cafu Danilo who is loving it stuck in park. Last but not least Dusan. He is loving his no touch calcio and PhD Max is not getting him out of neutral no matter what.

  4. AS the article points out, whatever the score, the Directors are likely to wait until the World Cup break to make a decision. And that makes sense. This is a long break – and an unusual one. So there will be time to think, negotiate and put someone else in place without too much panic. If Allegri is sacked now who would take charge? So they may as well wait another month.

  5. Allegri is untouchable, he is on a mission to incorporate hexagon calcio and transform Vlahovic into a libero defender.

    COMA CALCIO fino alla fine!
