Joaquin Correa ‘never stopped trying’ after his two goals allowed Inter to beat Udinese 2-0 and is eager to finally get back to full fitness.

It was a rare start for Tucu, who proved decisive at San Siro with both goals in the space of eight minutes.

“It was a very complicated game and it was so important to get the three points, as there were very few spaces, but we never stopped playing our football,” Correa told Sky Sport Italia.

“Unfortunately, injuries slowed my progress this season, but I am getting back in shape and will try to help the team any way I can.

“Things weren’t going well for me in the first half today either, but I never stop trying. Now we have to continue along this path, because everyone in the team wants the same thing.”

Inter have a big week coming up, facing Sheriff in the Champions League and then the Milan Derby in Serie A.
