The Coppa Italia Final between Juventus and Inter at the Stadio Olimpico is sold out and will bring in a record €5m in gate receipts.

The match kicks off in Rome on Wednesday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

It will be decided on the night after 90 minutes or, if needed, extra time and even a penalty shoot-out.

The Stadio Olimpico was chosen as neutral territory for the two clubs and it is proving enormously popular, as La Gazzetta dello Sport reports it will be sold out with 68,000 people present.

The Lega Serie A will announce the exact revenue from the ticket sales tomorrow, but it is believed to be over €5m,  new record for this competition.

The clubs will also benefit financially, as the winners take home €4.5m in prize money, while the losing finalists still pocket €2m.

They will also be able to play the Supercoppa Italiana next season, with €3m up for grabs.

As always with the Coppa Italia Final in recent years, a special musical guest will sing the Italian national anthem before kick-off.

This time it will be singer Arisa, who won the Sanremo Music Festival in 2014 and was also a judge on the Italian version of The X Factor.

  1. @Inter Per Sempre

Would be good if the old Cup Winner Cup was still a thing, instead of 4th place getting Champions league qualification
