Feyenoord complained only 3,000 tickets for each club are assigned for the Conference League Final with Roma, and they weren’t warned of early sales, so their supporters are threatening to travel to Tirana anyway.

The match is being played in the Albanian Capital on May 25.

Tickets have already been snapped up at a record rate and Feyenoord released a statement complaining that UEFA only made 3,000 tickets available to each club.

The sales are also available only through the UEFA channels, which again has annoyed the teams and their supporters.

The Dutch side also maintained they were not told of advance general sales, so many of those 8,500 that were up for grabs have been sold to Roma ultras.

The Feyenoord fans have not taken the news well and one of their main groups unleashed a call on social media urging them to travel in their thousands to Tirana even without tickets.

This would create a potentially dangerous situation, especially considering Feyenoord fans are already unpopular with Roma due to past incidents.

When they invaded the city of Rome ahead of a Europa League match in February 2015, their supporters clambered all over historic statues, with six who were found guilty of vandalising the Barcaccia fountain.

It was estimated by the local council that the Feyenoord hooligans had caused €5.2m in damages to the 17th-Century fountain at the base of the Spanish Steps.

  1. Ticket allocation for fans in European finals have always been a problem, but to host a European final in a stadium that an important serie B game could fill is naive to say the least.
