Federico Chiesa’s recovery from a cruciate ligament rupture is going well but there’s still a long way to go for the Juventus winger.

The 24-year-old Italian forward suffered the serious injury in the first half of the Bianconeri’s 4-3 win over Roma on January 9. He underwent a reconstruction operation a few weeks later in Austria, which was successful, and since then he’s been slowly recovering.

As detailed by La Gazette dello Sport, Chiesa’s recovery is going well but he’ll need to be patient, as he’s not expected to return to action until September or October at the earliest. The rush to return to fintess in time for the World Cup in Qatar is unfortunately no longer necessary, giving him the space required to focus on getting back to full health.

The Italian winger’s return will be key for Massimiliano Allegri next season, finally allowing him to play the Euro 2020 winger alongside Dusan Vlahovic.

3 thought on “Chiesa only half way through long recovery process”
  1. Jeg vil aldri tilgi Smaling for skaden han forårsaket til Chiesa.
Han ba ikke engang om unnskyldning. Jeg ønsker ham ikke noe godt.

  2. Yes Michael, reckless tackle that cost Juve the chance to fight for the title and cost Italy progress to the World Cup.

  3. Juve need two more explosive players like Chiesa with thensame characteristics and role.
Di Maria is to old, so Moussa Diaby and Heung Min Son could be great reinforcements.
