Federico Chiesa has come off in the first half of Juventus’ match against Roma due to a painful injury.

The 24-year-old Italian winger took a blow on the ankle after 24 minutes of the match against the Giallorossi and fell to the ground a few minutes later after trying to turn away from Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Laying on the ground in pain, Juventus decided to make the change, switching out Chiesa for Dejan Kulusevski. The Bianconeri will be hoping that the Italian winger has not suffered a serious injury, with an important month ahead for the Turin club.

The 24-year-old Chiesa has been one of the few bright spots in the Bianconeri squad this season under coach Massimiliano Allegri. The Italian has made 18 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing three assists in that time.

There is now a chance that Chiesa will miss Juventus’ next match against Inter on January 12, the Supercoppa Italiana final.

  1. Awesome.

2 English butchers did the job. Playoffs for Italy in risk.

    Time to break Smallings legs.

  2. Damit, Serie a has the most goals ratio from All of the give top Leagues. Crawl back to the stone u came from ‘expert”

  3. I was reffering to star players being butchered for nothing, not even a single foul after 2, 3 times today. Chiesa already missed a month and a half, like dybala. It was a fun game though.
