Chelsea reportedly offered Milan two different players as part of a proposed part-exchange deal for star forward Rafael Leao before he committed his immediate future to the Rossoneri.

According to James Horncastle of The Athletic, Chelsea valued Leao at a figure of around €100m and had prepared several varying payment structures in order to land the reigning Serie A player of the year.

The West Londoners were also hoping to include one of their current players in the deal in an attempt to reduce the transfer fee, manage the wage bill and clear one name from their overflowing squad.

According to the report, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech were offered to Milan at various stages of the negotiations, both of whom remain highly rated despite falling out of favour with the various Chelsea managers over the course of the season.

It has been reported that Leao has now agreed to a long term contract extension with the Rossoneri, in a deal worth €7m net per season in wages, which will run until the summer of 2028.

An official announcement is expected at some point following the conclusion of the Champions League semi-final with rivals Inter.
