Chelsea are still interested in Inter’s Milan Skriniar but their primary target is reportedly Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.

The Blues completed a €40m deal for Kalidou Koulibaly earlier this summer, ending the Senegalese centre back’s eight-year spell in Campania, and now they’re working on picking up a second starting centre back. Chelsea lost both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen earlier in the summer, forcing them to rebuild Thomas Tuchel’s backline.

As reported by The Daily Mail, Chelsea are currently focusing their efforts on Fofana, who is now their number one target. They’re still keeping a close eye on Skriniar, but he’s on a list of alternatives that also contains Paris Saint-Germain’s Presnel Kimpembe and RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol.

Following Inter’s failure to sign Gleison Bremer from Torino, it seems likely that they’ll try to hold onto Skriniar this summer, unless a concrete bid to the tune of around €70-80m arrives. PSG are still interested.

  1. Forfana is good young defender – plays with maturity yet only 20 yrs old.

If true, Inter are in a big mess – if dumfries goes – dont think he will sell anything over 45m euros – he’s good but not hakimi level
