West Ham are reportedly continuing to push for Piotr Zielinski and have improved upon their first offer, but the Napoli midfielder is unconvinced about the move to East London.

Last season, the Hammers submitted their first concrete offer for the Polish midfielder, submitting a bid worth €25m plus add-ons, far from the €40m price tag set by the Partenopei. West Ham finalised the signing of Gianluca Scamacca yesterday and they’re not ready to end their Serie A raid yet.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, West Ham have seemingly offered up to €36m total for Zielinski, incredibly close to Napoli’s requests. A deal could be reached between the two parties later this week, but things may not be that simple.

Zielinski is still unconvinced about the move to the Hammers and it would take a huge salary raise, much higher than the €4m net per season he currently earns, to make him consider the transfer. It’s unclear how much the Hammers would be willing to offer at this stage.
