Italy Under-21 international Cesare Casadei has hit the ground running at Chelsea, as this evening he scored a stunner from over 30 yards out.

The 19-year-old was purchased from Inter over the summer for €15m plus up to another €5m in performance-related bonuses.

He has been remarkable in England so far, scoring three goals and providing one assist in five Premier League 2 games.

Casadei had Chelsea fans buzzing on social media this evening after a spectacular long-range strike into the top corner during the Papa Johns Trophy match against Peterborough.

It has supporters calling for Casadei to be promoted to the senior Chelsea squad as soon as possible, straight from the winter training camp during the World Cup break.

He will turn 20 in January and is a creative midfielder who came up through the academies of Cesena and then Inter.

The player already has one cap for Italy at Under-21 level and if continues to impress at Chelsea, then Roberto Mancini could promote him to the senior Azzurri squad too.
