Victor Osimhen should be fit to start against Liverpool tonight with either Matteo Politano or Hirving Lozano as right winger.

It kicks off at 20.00 UK time.

The Nigeria international trained separately from the rest of the team over the last few days due to a minor muscle injury suffered during Saturday’s game with Lazio.

Luciano Spalletti said yesterday he would make a final decision today, but ‘Osi’ seems fit to start at the Stadio Maradona tonight.

If Osimhen is ruled out, Giacomo Raspadori should replace him. Only Diego Demme is surely out of action for the Partenopei, while Politano or Lozano will start as right winger.

The Stadio Maradona will be sold out with over 50,000 fans in the stands.

Spalletti won the only previous meeting with Klopp (2014, Zenit v Borussia Dortmund) and the Reds’ boss lost three games from three in Naples.

Liverpool are without Jordan Henderson, Fabio Carvalho, Ibrahima Konaté, Curtis Jones and Naby Keita. Juventus loanee Arthur is expected to start on the bench.

  1. Hard to know what state Liverpool are in. Hot and cold so far this season.

Osimhen could be a threat to them with his pace if they play a high line.

  2. Kvaratskhelia will destroy them tonight.
Hopefully he can start to chase down Kylian and Erling 🤩
