Capello will be assisted by former Juve protege Gianluca Zambrotta at Inter’s sister club in China, and he touched on the two Serie A titles that both men lifted but had revoked due to the Calciopoli scandal.
“Suning is a world-class group of great importance,” the former Milan and Roma Coach explained at his official unveiling.

“It wants to do very important things for football and this convinced me to choose them.
“The team can and must improve to get out of this delicate situation. I’ll be the ‘supervisor’, managing a young group of competent lads.
“Gianluca played with me at Juventus and we won two titles together.
“They were then taken away from us, but we won them on the pitch. Brocchi will also be of great help in Suning’s youth sector.
“There’s a great connection with Italian football here, with Inter and therefore it’s an Italo-Chinese collaboration.
“With Jiangsu and Inter, we must be able to do as Suning has done in all its activities: bring them to the top.
“When I received this offer, I particularly assessed the group I’d go to work with, and Suning wants to do great things in football.
“It’s a very important, global group: I accepted [Jiangsu’s offer] for the project.
“Chinese football? I’ve seen so many games and I came here when some of you weren’t born yet. We’re talking 1992, 1993 and 1995.
“Many years have passed and it’s a different world now. The impression I get, every time, is a country of continuous development.”
