Fabio Capello believes Juventus’ ‘winning habit and mentality’ make them favourites to win the Scudetto again.

The Old Lady are a point and a place behind Serie A leaders Napoli as they go in search of a seventh straight League title.

But despite acknowledging the ‘danger’ posed by Maurizio Sarri’s Partenopei, Capello is tipping his former club to win through.

“Napoli, with no more Champions League, are dangerous,” the former Real Madrid and England boss told Tuttosport.

“But Juve have that winning habit, the right mentality and an excellent squad.

“They have also shown they don’t rely on individuals, not even [Paolo] Dybala or [Gonzalo] Higuain.”

Capello was asked about the form of star man Dybala, who has been in and out of Max Allegri’s starting eleven at times this season.

“He is a player of good potential. In my opinion, they are managing him well at Juve.

“From personal experience, champion players are those who take advantage of every moment to improve.”

Juve have attracted criticism from some quarters for their playing style, particular during clashes against fellow Scudetto contenders.

However, Capello backs Allegri’s tactical approach.

“I can see myself in the way Allegri is pragmatic. And he is right, it is more difficult to win than to play well.”
