The proposed change of hierarchy at Milan has led to speculation regarding the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gigio Donnarumma, Ante Rebic and Simon Kjaer.

The former Sweden international returned to San Siro during the winter and helped Stefano Pioli lift the mood in the camp and spur the team to go on a great run after the winter break.

His contract expires in June but includes an option to extend for another year with the Rossoneri and CEO Ivan Gazidis has already voiced his great impression of the 38-year-old.

Gazidis has praised Zlatan for his impact at Milanello but the proposed farewell of sporting director Zvonimir Boban and technical director Paolo Maldini could impact the future of the Swedish superstar.

The Gazzetta dello Sport writes that Gazidis will have to touch the right buttons to convince him to stay before adding that the most complicated situation would be the one of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Because of a reported wage cap of €2m a year in place from next season, it could complicate the situation for many of the stars currently plying their trade at the Giuseppe Meazza.

The Italy international is tied to a contract worth €6m a year and the newspaper writes that his wage might lead to the youngster being sold this summer.

Rebic is another player who has revelled after the winter break and has lit up San Siro with his goals. But the Croatia international is on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt and Gazzetta claims that a sale of Donnarumma might help the Rossoneri sign him on a permanent deal.

Denmark international Kjaer also arrived this winter and has helped tidy up at the back for Pioli and it would cost €2.5m to make the deal permanent.

The report claims that he has been a favour of Maldini and Boban, who wouldn’t think twice about renewing his deal.

Ralf Rangnick has allegedly been offered a three-year deal with an option of a fourth with Milan, meaning that Stefano Pioli has only a few months left at the club.

Tomorrow, they face Juventus in the return leg of the semi-finals, where they are currently locked on 1-1 after the first leg in Milan.
