Cagliari have reportedly asked Juventus to take Rade Dragusin on loan, assuming he does not to go Sassuolo as part of the Manuel Locatelli deal.

The 19-year-old centre-back is one of the brightest prospects from the Bianconeri academy and is pushing for more playing time this season.

He had been heavily linked with Sassuolo to form part of the package for Locatelli, which will be discussed again this afternoon.

Calciomercato.com suggest that if Dragusin is not included in that switch, then Cagliari have asked to take him on loan for this season.

Juve’s reticence to send the Romania Under-21 international to Sassuolo was that they wanted to keep hold of him for the future.

He would get regular playing time in Serie A and return to base next summer as a more experienced player.
